My photography, altered, quilted, embroidered, and beaded. My photo is of bleak afternoon with beautiful trees in the snow. I then used a filter which added hundreds of circular shapes around and over the branches. I had it printed onto fabric and then stitched on a tiny red cardinal. I sandwich batting and a backing and quilted along the branches. Then I added iridescent glass beads and sequins for sparkle. Even in the bleakest winter, hope and song are still found.
This wall quilt measures 26”x 36” and has a hanging sleeve on the back, through which you’d slide a thin dowel or rod to hang on a nail.
