I started out with lightly painted pastels on a canvas, then stitched an eye, then drew a heart around it and stitched on fabric and batting, quilting them down. Also, I matched the thread on the light pink and lilac parts of the painted canvas. Random stitchery and buttons and the quote: “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”- Antoine de Saint-Exupery 10”x 10”x .5”
